Buttery, melt-in-your-mouth cookies dipped in creamy white chocolate.
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
  • Color sugar and sprinkles
  1. Cream the butter and sugar, about 3 minutes. Beat in egg, scraping down bowl as necessary. Add orange juice and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking powder until well combined.
  2. Divide dough into 3 disks. Wrap with plastic wrap and chill at least 2 hours or until firm.
  3. Working with one disk at a time, on a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Sprinkle with colored sugar, if desired.
  4. Space 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets (can be lined with parchment or silicone mat), and bake at 400°F for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned around the edges. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Repeat with remaining disks of dough and re-chill the scraps.
  5. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the white chocolate and dip each cookie at various angles. Decorate with color sugar or sprinkles. Let chocolate harden and store cookies in an airtight container.
