Puerto Rican Fried Pork Chops (Chuletas Fritas)
The holidays are upon us and that means a whirlwind of wonderful family traditions, parties to attend and festive shopping trips. It also means our schedules ramp into high gear with little time to spare! That’s where these Puerto Rican Fried Pork Chops with Stouffer’s Macaroni & Cheese from Walmart saves the day!
Stouffer’s is part of the Nestlé family of products, without which my holiday recipes would not be possible. You’ll find the macaroni and cheese in the freezer aisle in either Family Size which serves 5, or Party Size which has 10 servings for a larger crowd (or leftovers!).
One of my favorite childhood memories is playing with cousins who came to visit during winter break. Everything was magic – we didn’t have a care in the world! Now, I’m the adult and the responsibilities of hostess are mine. That means extra work to get the house in order and plan meals for everyone.
So I take a cue from my mom who would cook up these pork chops for our family of six and have dinner on the table in no time at all. As always, we love to season our food Puerto Rican style. It is so flavorful – no bland food here! Plus, pork chops cook up in just minutes while still staying tender.
Start with Stouffer’s Macaroni & Cheese, which you can easily pick up from Walmart. It is the best tasting mac and cheese you can buy! It has freshly made pasta in a real cheddar cheese sauce. It’s so creamy and delicious everyone will love it.
While the macaroni and cheese is warming, season the pork chops with the spices and vinegar. The vinegar acts as a quick tenderizer and you won’t be able to taste it after it is cooked. You can also marinate these ahead of time. Fry in a tiny bit of oil in a hot pan until crispy. You can use either bone-in or boneless pork chops. Serve with a green vegetable for a complete meal!
Whether you need a meal to feed your family during a busy week, or a meal to feed a crowd this holiday season, make it #JuntosConNestlé!
