I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s worth saying again: smoothies are a great way to ensure you eat at least one healthy meal a day. And they’re not just for breakfast!

Plus, they’re so easy to jazz up with extra nutrition and flavors.

Here are some extras you can blend with your raspberry peach cottage cheese smoothie:

If you’re adventurous, you can add carrots like my Orange Carrot Smoothie.

I do have an actual recipe listed at the end, but it’s more like a guideline than a rule-book.

Adjust to your taste and diet as necessary.

All blenders are not the same, so you may need to add more or less liquid.

We use the Vitamix and LOVE how smooth it blends everything!

Sometimes fruit can be more or less sweet, so you’ll need to adjust the amount of honey.

I use the honey my dad harvests from his own bees, but you can also use stevia or agave to sweeten (or none at all!).

I love to use frozen fruit for smoothies for several reasons:

  • Convenient to have on hand
  • Fresher than I can get in the produce aisle this time of year
  • Makes my smoothies nice and thick without adding any ice

The cottage cheese also makes it thick and creamy.

The protein boost is one of the many health benefits cottage cheese offers as well.

Please ensure your cottage cheese is low sodium or you’ll be in for an unpleasant surprise.

That type of cottage cheese is best suited for lasagnas.

Also, be sure to blend thoroughly so there are no little curds remaining and enjoy!
