Yep that’s right, this is a milkshake without ice cream recipe.

Also known as a blender milkshake because all the ingredients are placed in the blender with ice to make it thick, creamy and frozen.

It’s an unusual recipe I know, but it’s insanely delicious so I had to share with you!

It’s better than Sonic, better than Cookout, better than any fast food cheesecake milkshake anywhere!

This recipe first came about when I was desperately craving a milkshake but I didn’t have any ice cream on hand.

Enter: Strawberry Milkshake Without Ice Cream. This was the first no ice cream milkshake I created.

I noticed I had the basic ingredients to make ice cream from scratch, but that takes hours to prepare in advance with an ice cream maker.

Without time to spare, I threw the ingredients into my Vitamix along with some ice and voila!

Milkshake heaven. Craving satisfied.

But then I became obsessed with milkshakes without ice creams and created numerous flavors.

This cheesecake milkshake with no ice cream is my favorite hands down.

This recipe is for plain cheesecake milkshake, but you could add any number of mix-ins for your favorite flavor.

Cheesecake flavors:

  • Cherries
  • Berries (any kind)
  • Oreos
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • Bananas & caramel sauce
  • Canned pumpkin puree

Cheesecake milkshake recipe

Since this recipe was invented with the ingredients I had on hand, please feel free to substitute (or leave out) based on your own situation.

Just note that ingredients listed below are for the best cheesecake milkshake ever.

Substitutions will taste different – and that might be a good thing!

Ran out of milk? Evaporated milk or coffee creamer works too.

No sour cream on hand? Use yogurt.

Don’t have cream cheese? Try ricotta or goat cheese.

No cheese at all? Make Fresas con Crema instead! (Mexican strawberries & cream in a cup).

Blend all the milkshake ingredients until thick and creamy. Choose from the ideas list above to blend in or add as toppings after.
