½cupsemi-sweetor milk chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line then grease an 8×8 baking pan with parchment or foil for easy removal.
In a saucepan melt the butter and remove from heat. Beat in sugar until well combined, then the eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt just until combined and gently mix in toffee chips. Bake for about 20 minutes or until edges are set and a toothpick inserted in center comes out mostly clean.
Immediately top with chocolate chips and let sit a few minutes to melt (or pop it back in the oven for a minute). Spread and smooth the melted chocolate, sprinkle with additional toffee chips and let set until hardened before cutting.
